  1. PayPal works best for me. All my payments to Tatanka Parts go that way.
  2. This site was definitely missed! I am very thankful it is back up and operational. I think a fundraiser is a great way to take in the necessary funds to keep this truly invaluable information resource open to the public. Tell us how you would like contributions be sent your way. You might also wish to post something on the various Facebook pages as well on the German C303.de forum. I know I will gladly donate to such a great cause and I believe I can easily convince MANY of the Volvo TGB owners in the Pacific Northwest corner of the US to do the same. Thanks again for all you do. Take care. Jim Molloy "MAMMUT" 1975 Volvo TGB1314A
  3. Hello to all, Does anyone have access to an uploaded copy of the repair manual covering winch designed for the Volvo C303/304/306 vehicles? If so, PLEASE provide a link as I am starting into the restoration of a winch we removed from a very rusty ex-Vattenfall truck almost 20 years ago. Thank you! Jim Molloy Northwest MogFest 1975 TGB1314A
  4. Batti, It is part of the design. Go for a slow drive and put the truck into a tight turn. Stop half way through the turn with straightening the front wheel. Check the rear axle positions. Then drive straight ahead for several meters and repeat the turning process in the other direction. You will find the rear axles have shifted in the opposite orientation. Enjoy the excellent design Volvo gave us. Take care. Jim Molloy
  5. Woutec, Congratulations on your purchase of the C303. Best wishes on the five speed transmission swap. Late last year, I switched to the K cam as a gently upgrade for the original cam. The high quality engine oil I have used for MANY years apparently recently had a significant reduction in zinc making it unsupportive of the B30 cam/lifter interface. The cam swap is very straightforward and can be done in a day with proper preparation and tools. What we have noticed with our K cam-equipped 1975 TG1314A 6x6 ambulance is slight increase in power at the top end making climbing grades on the road slightly better. The down side is that is seems we have lost a little bit of low end power...especially when starting out in high range with cold fluids in the transmission, transfer case, three differentials and six portal boxes. Low range power loss has not been noted. Since I do not mind lumbering along at the 80-88kph speeds originally recommended by the manufacturer, I plan to stick with standard gearing and leisurely travel slower less used back roads whenever possible. I still run points but may add the Pertronix module sitting on my shelf for three years. After the completion of the next two end-of-summer vehicular events, I do plan to install the dual Mikuni HSR42 carburetor kit from Vintage Performance. http://www.v-performance.com/products/air_fuel.html I am not doing this swap for performance (althought that may come as a benefit) but rather for simplicity. I have had the opportunity to work with the Z-S carburetors on Volvo trucks and feel the need to go to something far simpler to tune. Finally, the engine bay will become less cluttered as a cab rooftop industrial/agricultural dry element cylindrical air cleaner will be added. This should cut the distance fresh air has to move to reach the engine in half and should be a . bit cooler. Once the carburetor swap is complete, I will give an update on my opinion of the K cam. Hope this helps. Take care. Jim Molloy Waldersee Farm Northwest MogFest
  6. Hello to all! Dates: August 18th-21st, 2022 Theme: "It's A Zoo!!!" Location: Waldersee Farm 29870 SW Mill Creek Rd. Sheridan, Oregon USA 97378 Activities: Driving, Camping, Socializing, Driving, Kid's parades, Animal-themed costumes, Driving, Petting zoo, Axe throwing, Swimming, Driving, Women's backhoe contest, daily Yoga practices, Driving, Zip line, Raffle/Auction, Driving Added features: Saturday night meal provided by our dear friends who are responsible for the annual Descend On Bend and Descend On Lost Sierra events. Great cooks and amazing people! An MVPA three state convoy is due to arrive at the Evergreen Air & Space Museum complex about 1pm on Saturday. There also happens to be an air show scheduled that weekend. We are considering sending a group of NWMF trucks there to welcome the convoy to the area. I have already invited the convoy to come to the farm and join in the fun that evening. Housekeeping: We provide the toilets and shower facilities. The rest is pack in/pack out. This includes recycling and pet waste. In years past, it was taking us several months to finally clear the barnyard of trash and recyclable items. There may be lemonade/cookie stands, shaved ice, the Autobahn Coffee VW bus and a food/snack trailer but it is best to be ready to be self-reliant and self-sufficient. No open fires and it is HIGHLY recommended that every vehicle has a functional fire extinguisher on board. Special request: As always, we hope as many European high mobility vehicles and their owners can be present. This year, I am requesting that the Volvo TGB attendance will be far higher than what we have seen in past years. A bit more than gten years ago, the MVPA named me their Steyr-Puch Haflinger technical advisor. I wrote a series of four articles that were published monthly in their ARMY MOTORS magazine. This year, they named me their Volvo TGB series truck technical advisor and they plan to publish a series of six articles in their current "History In Motion" monthly magazine. The series I will write will cover predecessors, prototypes and four primary subgroups with variants. When those are done, I will offer them a seventh article covering a wide variety of TGB trucks that have been modified into campers...especially the TGB131X 6x6 trucks. For additional details, please refer to our website: http://www.northwestmogfest.com Also consider joining the NWMF Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/groups/50038529623 Take care...one and all! Safe travels. Jim Molloy
  7. Tamaz, I am SO happy you were able to find that manual. I have been in contact with one ot the staff members at SKAB, the manufacturer of the rear boxes on the TGB 131X series of 6x6 trucks. Looking through the archives of the SKAB location where they were assembled, he was able to find the same manual. In fact, he had started to scan it for me. When I received my original manual from a different source, he happy ceased his efforts. I have been in contact with SKAB in order to gather more history about their involvoment with the TGB 6x6 trucks. I recently committed to writing a six article series on the Volvo TGB line of trucks for the MVPA (Military Vehicle Preservation Association). A decade ago, the MVPA published a four article seres I wrote on the Steyr Puch Haflinger trucks. I first joined the MVPA (then the MVCC) back in 1980. Thank you again for the most excellent addition to the terranbil.net manual database. Take care. Jim Molloy
  8. Tamaz, Did you find this among the other manuals in the terrangbil.net library of manuals? That is phenomenal? I just got off the phone with the local printer and was going to have the manual scanned this Wednesday. You have just saved me time, travel and $60 USD in scanning charges. THANK YOU! Jim
  9. Hello to all. Here is the latest update. I now own a copy of the M7776-002090 parts manual. I have been going page by page before the scanning process begins. I have located only one page where someone wrote a few words in blue ink on a parts diagram. It turns out that a similar manual was located in the SKAB archives. Once I have located all the pages that have been marked, I will ask the contact at SKAB to scan just those pages. What I present to this forum must be complete and as untarnished as possible. Given the large quantity of date in the manual, I know it will require uploading in smaller units that what was previously tried. Please be patient. It will be well worth the wait. Take care. 10. Kristaga, I totally agree. This would be a tremendous resource for many. I am also working with one of the SKAB staff members (soon to be more) about getting access to their historic records since they were the contractors manufacturing the rear boxes on the 6x6 trucks. Blueprints of the internal metal skeleton frame, doors, internal and external cabinets and the like would be so helpful for restoration and modification. Thanks for your support! Take care. 11. Hello to all, Please excuse my lack of using Swedish for this request. While I have owned a total of six different Vovlo TGB trucks in the past, we have finally settled on a 1975 TGB1314A. I use it as both a camper and a remoted medical unit at various festivals. I also am drawn to learn as much history of my vehicles as I can. Recently, I contacted individuals at SKAB (Specialkarosser AB) to get more information about their work on the rear boxes of the TGB131X 6x6 trucks. It appears that many of the current SKAB staff are interested to see how the work of their predecessors are holding up nearly a half a century later. In my investigation, I learned about a parts manual that shows all the details I could ask to see. That manual is designated M7776-002090 and a partial downlown is actually available here: The problem is that when Erik/Viper99 added that manual to the collection in Feruary 2013, the large "Section 9 Övrig utrustning" could not be added due to size. It also appears that Erik/Viper99 has not been back to this forum since 2013. I recently saw three pages from Section 9 on the Facebook C303 and TGB page and my goal is to see all of that manual be available in a digital format. If ANYONE knows of an online source for that information or is willing to scan their manual or loan that section of their manual so it can be scanned by others, PLEASE let me know. 12. You may wish to try this gentleman. He is a vintage European wiper expert. He converted a pair of 24V TGB wiper motors for us a couple years ago. Flawless function and workmanship. 13. The 1 562 660 is one of two Volvo part numbers for a 12V wiper motor in the Vovlo TGB parts manual. The full number is 1562660-9. The earlier number is 1560260-0.
  14. Eile, I have two TGB1314A trucks and one AluZn TGB11. I would like to more about the modifications made on this particular truck. I would like to see what modifications have been made on the inside of the ambulance box as well as the door the owner has installed in the are of the original battery box. Just looking for ideas. I believe the Volvo TGB131X 6x6 trucks offer the best platform for a camper possible. Is that your high top C202 camper as your thumbnail photo? Great truck! I hope this answers your question about why I am looking for a German owner of a TGB. Take care. Jim Molloy
  15. Eile, Thank you for the recommendation. I have posted the same request on Michael's C303.de forum with no results yet. Sooner or later, this truck will show up again. Take care. Jim Molloy
  16.
