  1. Great, which size is the hose to you think? I am trying to find the proper replacement :-)
  2. Hello friends On attached pictures you´ll see 2 hoses. I need to replace the long one with the clamp on it, going from the intake manifold down to..I don't know where? Does anyone know what this hose is for and what dimension it is? It is cracking and need replacement, so it would be nice to learn more about it:-) Many thanks in advance! Cheers!

  4. Hello friends! Here I am in East Iceland proudly driving the Laplander C202 from 1981. One of the true survivors. But it is time to replace the shock absorbers. The ones I had always installed on the on the car are Gabriel nr. 27875 made in USA, no longer made I guess. (picture) Can someone share the experience with the shocks on the Laplanders in general? - Can you guys recommend for right type of rear shock absorbers and front for the C202?   5. Jeg forstår, Eile.. Jeg har min egen laplander med kun 64.000 originale km (!), som jeg langsomt er ved at renovere så jeg er ikke interesseret i din valp. Held og lykke med salget!
  6. Tak igen, meget hjælpsomt. Du har ikke din gamle styrdämpare stadig til salg, jeg så dette tirdligere: Jag har plockat bort min och den är till salu bra skick ink alla fästen ev medföljer även en rejält begagnad om jag hittar.
  7. Thank you, I do have power steering (!) and I experienced the "death wobble" many times, which scares the hell outta me, therefore I am looking for that styrdämpare

  10. Tak for de gode tips. Jeg har fundet ud af, at min Laplander kun har kørt 63.000 km siden den ankom til Island i 1983 (!!!)... For B20 er det vel kun begyndelsen på et langt liv. Jeg regner med jeg når en million km inden jeg dør
  11. Hej alle Jeg kontakede GPC i Sverige for at finde de originale (eller dem der matcher fra andre modeller) "Stänkskydd" (fantastisk Svensk ord i øvrigt!) til min Valp. Men for at kunna kontrollera eventuell tillgänglighet i deres system skal GPC bruge Volvos artikelnummer på den del jeg søger...øh. Så spørgmålet er: er der nogen som ved hvilken artikelnummer de originale Stänkskydd har..? Eller er der nogen, som har erfaring med at bestille Stänkskydd til valpen som kunne passe? Det er en lille ting med Stänkskydd , men vil gøre meget glad at løse. På forhånd mange tak for hjælpen. Bedste hilsner fra Island
  12. Tak, is compression test on 4 cylinder the only way to find out if my 63.000 km are maybe original millage?

Når kilometertælleren når 99.000 på min 1980 Laplander, vil den så begynde stille til 00 og starte forfra ligesom biler i Amazon-serien eller fortsætter den med at tælle over 100.000 up til 999.000? Det er meget spændende synes jeg efstersom det kan hjælpe mig at vurdere hvorvhidt de 63.751 km er ALT den har kørt, hvilket er sandsynligt, men kunne også være 1.63.751 eller rullet over flere gange. Er der nogle som har erafinger med det? På forhånd tak og god påske!
  14. Tak for alle dine gode og nyttige informationer, Major! Er det så det der sker, når jeg har svært ved at ramme/komme i 1 gear? Nogle gange er det helt umuligt næsten. Er det tegn på problemer med FD, mangel på olie? Jeg glemte vist at svare på dit spørgsmål: regarding the history of C202 in Iceland, I am still somewhat young so someone with better knowledge may correct me if wrong, but the official Icelandic saga goes that the Swedish government was planning to sell 50 of this beautiful vehicles to Gadafi in Libya, but he was a bad guy, so instead the Swedish government sold it to the private market in Iceland back in time. I see them here and there in different fjords on the east coast of Iceland where I live, but not many of them are running. I will assume some also in the North and West part of the country, maybe total 15-20 running left! Like everywhere they are fast gaining in value. Every summer some cruise ship tourist offer me to buy the car on spot

  18. Aha, det var interessant, tak for det. Har du måske nogle forslag til en ny fan/altenator/waterpump belt og en ny luftrenser? Jeg ved ikke hvilken type jeg skal kigge på nettet.
  19. OK, thank you both. So the B20-A does not have an actual timing belt only this multifunctional fan/altenator/waterpump belt, is that correct? Mr. Graveander what are your experience with finding the right size replacement belt today?
  20. Here is the picture of both the drive belt (timing belt?) and the air filter I hope to replace, does anyone have any suggestions? Thank you in advance.
  21. Thank you! This look indeed like a coolingfan/alternator belt. But that is not the one I mean and hope to replace. I could attach a picture from the manual, but I am not sure how to do that here on the forum..?
  22. Yes, I am learning about the Valp:-) I am not even sure the laplander have a timing belt or just a regular belt that needs replacement sometimes. I have the name drivrem/fläktrem from my Swedish manual (page 47. Its the only belt that is listed under maintenance in the manual. What is that belt called then? and are they other belt to think of? thanks!
  23. Hello volvo friends! I am looking to replace a timing belt (Swedish drivrem/fläktrem) on my volvo laplander C202 (almost 70.000 km on the odometer) from 1980. The engine type is: B20-A with single carburetor version. Does any one have some ideas for replacement or can tell where to look? Also I need to replace the air filter, not sure, but I guess the air filter in B20-A engines are similar to early 240 or p1800? Do anyone have any suggestions? P.S Does the C202 also have a fuel filter hiding somewhere? Any leads and info will be much appreciated:-) Greetings from East Iceland
