  1. Hej together, I am looking for a set of wheel bearings for the Valp front axle. Mine are a bit to noisy, so they seem to be worn. Does anyone have the SKF or Timken partsnumber or has bearings for sale? Additionally I need some tie rod ends for the steering linkage(left and right). Thank you very much. MVH, Frank
  2. Hej, I enjoyed the video with the running engine very much... My 912 runs like an old guy after smoking 30 cigarettes a day. Btw... do you have any idea how to renew th wheel brake cylinders, mine ar a bit corrosive... MVH, Frank
  3. Hello Jonas, long time no speak. I hope everything is ok with you? A member "Lars" offers a 912 which I am interestes in.

I contacted him via blocket, but he wrote me that he isn't interested in selling to foreigners.

Would do me a favour an moderate if he is interested in selling the 912 to you and i buy it afterwards from you. Kindest regards, also to Solfrid,

      Frank

OK- I see what I can do. I know that it is more paperwork to sell to foreigners. Especially as one as a seller don´t want to stand as a owner after the car is sold.

  4. Hej, I hope this is the right thread for introducing "new" vehicles... My 912 is still in my hands since about one year - but what a shame - I didn't post about it here. So, here's the boring story: I bought the 912 in nov. 2013 on eBay from a collector in southern Germany for the price of 2010€. Due to my job we are in Business with forwarding companies. They deliver our farming machines all over Europe. That eased the Transport of the 912 - just 2 phoncalls and 2 days later the Volvo arrived in Melle. Until then I didn't do much work at the Volvo, only the original fuel filter was replaced an the carb was cleaned. I checked the oil Levels filled in fresh fuel and drove some light offroad-rounds in the garden of my garage. The Volvo is on position 4 concerning the chronology of restauration. In front there are a Mercedes-Benz G290D pickup(former polish army) and a Mercedes-Benz truck 917 4y4(former netherlands army, bomb disosal quad). The L2204 has the chassis-nr. 560 and was first registered on 3. okt. 1958. Anything forgotten? The Pictures will follow... MVH, Frank Here are some pictures..
  5. Hej Jonas, thank you very much for the quick response and especially for the work with the file you did for me. I hope the 912 will be back on the road for the next Valp Meeting in Melle. It is still in running condition but not very fine. MVH, Frank
  6. Hej, I'm not very good in reading swedish... Can someone tell me how I can get the manual or parts list for my TL22? I didn't manage to download it from maskinisten. I have to check the ignition and the valve clearance of the engine, also I have to overhaul the brake cylinders. Thank you very much. MVH, Frank
  7. The 912 is not restored and totally original but the electricity needs some work. Frank
  8. Hej Jonas, nice to "see" you again... I hope you and Solfrid are doing well??? The plans for the 912 ? driving offroad !!! Not in a distroying way but like the way you learned to know at the Valp Meeting in Melle. My father has his hunting on 13th dec. and my part will be to drive the hunters to their positions. That means a lot of light offroading in deep forests. Until we met the last time I bought some more offroad vehicles like Iveco 40.10WM, Mercedes 290GD truck cab, and two more Valps(ok. one C202). Best regards to Solfrid. Frank
  9. Hej Jonas, yes, it seems so. Perhaps it was an advantage that the 912 was in "collectors hands" during the last 25 years. It has been imported in 1987 to Germany. Frank
  10. Hello together, it is a few month ago since my last post concerning the Volvo Valp meeting in Melle. Now I've found a new Terrängbil for spending time with: The 912 is in good original condition, nearly complete, only small dents and just a very few rust. The breaks can do better work and the clutch lets the car jump like a kangaroo while engaging a gear. But this seems to result from standing still the past years in a Garage. Frank
  11. The 13. int Volvo Valp meeting comes closer, so it's time for me to invite all interested Valp owners. I am working on a driving permission to a military training area in the near of Melle. This would mean that we guided by a special unit of the german military police to show us the hot spots in the area. Don't hesitate to contact me for further information. Frank
