  1. Hej alla,
    jag har en TGB13 helkarros och jag importerar den tillbaka till Sverige. Det är för närvarande på C-körkort.
    Är det fortfarande möjligt att ha dessa fordon på B-körkort?
    Jag har båda körkort så det är inget problem.
    Vilka är för- och nackdelarna med B eller C här i Sverige?
    Till exempel;
    -Jag kan föreställa mig att du inte är välkommen på terrängklubbar om fordonet är på C.
    -Andra besiktningskrav och kanske antalet passagerare på registreringsbeviset?
    -Om du passerar gränser kommer du idag i många länder att ta itu med kilometeravgift om du har ett fordon över 3500 kg. Varje land har olika regler och det är väldigt svårt att ta reda på exakt vad som gäller var.
    Vem kan berätta mer?

    Tack för hjälp!

    Ron

  2. Yes that is correct. Make sure that the space between body and rockslider is filled with kit/glue/liquid gasket or something so dirt and water can not come in there.

    I must have pics from when i build the car but it will take some time to find them.

  3. Hi, i have a simple L-metal piece on the corners. Just like the rocksliders you find on Jeeps. I welded a extra sidebar on that to keep trees and rocks further away from the body but that is not a must. It is handy with getting in the car too BTW.

    Anyways, i have driven Croatia trophy with this so this set-up is proven to be strong enough, your body/frame connections are strong enough.

    Check out the video's i have on Youtube so you can see what i build and how i tested/used it ;)

  4. Seriously have no idea how to explain in swedish (i only speak it a little, still learning) so i do it in english, maybe someone can translate.

    I use one brakeservo for the front axle, the other one for the rear axle. In the line to the rear axle i have a adjustable brakepower controler.

    Very important is that you disconnect the 4x4 switch on the brake system, it will no longer work because of the difference in brakepressure. you need much less pedalpower to have the same brakepowerat the wheels so if you press it hard enough for the 4x4 to engage your rear axle is allready blocket and this can damage the driveline!!

    I know most of you live in the south and i am up in Jämtland but if anybody wants to come and take a look at it you are welcome here.

    Do not worry about wear parts and finding replacement brakepads and such stuff. Gordan is a smart guy and he used only common parts that you can get anywhere like Mekonomen and such.

    Needless to say, but we drive a Volvo TGB11 with minimum upgrade and modifications.

  7. Well, at this moment i do 1 liter on 6 km. Mostly city so it's getting there.

    Since we run 98 octane and not 97 i decided to advance the timing a little bit. This gave a good performance boost. No knocking of the engine, not even at very low rpm and heavy working so this is no problem. It's at 12 degrees now.

    Tommorow i will make a long run on the highway and i expect a great mileage !

  8. connected the car to an CO computer and indeed it was way to rich !

    Made the needed adjustments and went to the gas station...no high octane available...so i had no option to run 95 octane gas wich the engine took fine, no temperature problems or pinging.

    Drove 150km on the 95 octane and usage was 1 liter for 5,8 kilometer so it's a bit better. I hope it will make a big difference when i drive on 97 octane again.

  9. I would like to ask you all about the fuel consumption of your TGB's.

    Mine has;

    pertronix ignition, new sparkplugs and cables.

    K&n airfilter.

    General all terain tires 35"x12,5 @ 3 bar pressure

    Discbrakes all around

    I fuel her 98 with lead replacement.

    My consumption is 1 liter every 4,5 kilometer( gps was used for distance ) . This seems like way to much to me. Especially with my set up as mentioned above. Oh, i drive it normal, max speed 85 km/hr.

    Let me know what yours drives per liter and what your toughts are ?

    Regards, Ron
