From what I have found the trucks with TAD either had a VTM42-40-30-10 pump or the VTM27-50-45-12. The first pumps has a 4gpm ring and give 70bar and 11l/min and the second one has a 5gpm ring and give 86bar and 17l/m. You can turn the steering wheel really fast with the 17l/m pump supplying the TAD 100. You can change the flow by enlarging the orifice hole in the outlet of the pump. The flow control valve will cut in later if you enlarge the hole, basically moving the orifice break off line further up on the pump delivery line in the diagram below. If you change the cartridge kit (or just the ring if you go from 5gpm to 6gpm) you will get more flow before the flow control valve cuts in. Are there any online documents that one could use for this part-number-break-down purpose? (the ones I could find did not match/resolve this 27-series coding (with the data-sample found online, in one of the Volvo galleries (Daniel I believe)). Btw, which of these two Vickers types is mounted on the BV202, since that seems to be a possible donor-source too (with 1:1 Volvo/B30-compatible brackets, being on a B20)? (BV206, whether Ford/Mercedes/Steyr probably all have their own engine-integrated hydraulic pump, not?) PS: do you have a slightly better/larger version of that image? (currently a tad too much JPEG-compression for decent printing) Btw2: interesting in one of the Char-Lynn documents is the configuration/variation that allows further hydraulic agreggrates to be mounted, like a winch, with priority to the power-steering (Danfoss might have the same option through additional components, not sure, but at least it isn't listed as nicely/completely in their catalogs). The early Bv202 used VTM27 pumps and the later ones with B20 used VTM42. Both pumps had 5gpm ring and rated to 1250psi and 4.5gpm in controlled flow. If you give me the number on the pump then I can tell you the specs? I wouldn't put a hydraulic winch on the PS pump as the flow and pressure is to low. Your better of with the Sepson PTO winch that some civilian trucks had. The one listed here matches your data: http://www.scout.1g.fi/kuvat/volvo/PICs%20I_Karlsson_Power%20steering/Servo_pump_1.jpg/full xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Hydraulic pump: Vickers VTM2750 4512 NOR110 xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Mine (Vickers, type unknown, very early implementation, presumably the very first unit that Claes Blomquist ever mounted (taken from a local donor Volvo, and mounted on mine, because we ran out of time when ordering new at Danfoss (no stock!, production on demand, at least at that time!)) is belt-driven, and the position (top/right of engine) makes it impossible to read the ID-tag. (but I noticed a nice & cheap USB endoscope (with light) on http://www.pearl.de, could be a good solution for such neckbreaking problems....) Btw, a crank-driven pump, in front of the engine, could be even much stronger than a PTO-driven pump (or winch), since the PTO is only rated for 14HP (although I recently tried finding that data-sheet again, but failed....even forgot whether it was in one of the English versus Swedish documents/manuals). Also have the blue-print of the typical firefighter (Ruberg) hydro-pump configuration, IIRC only flow is much higher, not pressure (50 or 60L/min). The good thing of hydraulics is that it can be much better controlled than a mechanical PTO-winch....not to mention the fact that it can be controlled *outside* of the vehicle....) (one could create a radio-remote vacuum valve, into the winch on/off circuit (not the PTO on/off circuit), but it better be a failsafe=off system then....) (all that assuming that one doesn't have to control things with engine power/rpm, more than some basic hand-gas setting (which doesn't allow 100% throttle like the foot pedal does anyway)) W-J-M2008-11-30 22:41:17 Citera Länk till kommentar Dela på andra webbplatser
