Costin Moga Postad 11 April , 2012 Rapport Share Postad 11 April , 2012 Has someone experienced fitting the front windscreen seal ? I can't imagine how to do it properly - glue it first on the glass and afterwords fit the metal frame ? Otherwise it looks very much 'alive'. Can't fight it back... Couldn't imagine such seamelly simple operation is sooo hard to fulfill... Costin TP21 #443 Citera Länk till kommentar Dela på andra webbplatser
kickassford Postad 24 Maj , 2012 Rapport Share Postad 24 Maj , 2012 (redigerade) have you fitted the windscreen seal yet? i've just done it and i put an realy thick bead of sealant on the seal, then carefully inserted the glass in the seal and then fitted the frame. easy peasy. then you have to remove the excessive sealant, either when it has dried or immediately after you fitted the fram depending on the adhesive you use. mine got a bit messy because i put to little sealant so i've had to add more after i've fitted the frame but it was easy to clean after it has dried with some thinner and plastic scraper. Costin Moga Postad 25 Maj , 2012 Författare Rapport Share Postad 25 Maj , 2012 have not done it yet. tried to fix it with some clips but did not worked well. I'm kind of reluctant to put sealant even if it appears to be the easy way just because in case of broken glass (which can be replaced), it will ruin the rubber seal, and I heven't got but one. or maybe there is a sealant that alows the glass to be taken out without damaging the seal... ?????? kickassford Postad 25 Maj , 2012 Rapport Share Postad 25 Maj , 2012 (redigerade) I'm using an silicon based sealant. glues well on glass and rubber but its possible to remove it from the seal without damaging it. but dont use silicon sealant on metal cus it will make it rust.
