Did any of the Bv202 3 carriage prototypes survive?

Only one was built as a prototype, the last carrige is simply a trailer with tracks and no steering.

In the book about the history behind the bv 202 the volvo bm-engineers even contemplated using the volvo B36 v8-engine with a centrifugal clutch.

In the book, it talks about the rear carriage having no steering when towed, but having steering and the front carriage not having steering when reversing. I got the impression from the book that they made a couple, including one with four carriages

You are correct about the steering-arrangement.

Only one Bv202 F was ever built. The one with four carriages is the same vehicle but with the fourth carriage having no propulsion or steering, it was simply towed behind.
