Duke775 Postad 15 Februari , 2013 Rapport Share Postad 15 Februari , 2013 Hi, i use a 10V20 Rim with 120mm Offset and 14.00R20 Tyres. A Offset less than 120mm fits better ! The Company "Gabo" in the Netherlands made custom build Rims. Any Size and any diameter, according to your requirements ! Price per Rim about 400,- € http://www.velgenopmaat.nl/ Regards Marcus P.S. You can also use Rims from the German MAN KAT1 125,- € per Rim http://www.schindler-allrad.de/ware/zblnan-kat1f-1.htm 1 Citera Länk till kommentar Dela på andra webbplatser

Johan Josefsson Postad 16 Februari , 2013 Rapport Share Postad 16 Februari , 2013 What about rims with 55mm offset? I have 22,5" rims with that specification.
Duke775 Postad 16 Februari , 2013 Rapport Share Postad 16 Februari , 2013 Hi Björn, the only thing you must do is the bolt holes in the rim sink for the inner nuts. this TGB drives with KAT1 rims on 14.00R20 Michelin XZL or you can drive the bigger 16.00R20 on the same rims (more horsepower is necessary) @ johann how wide are your rims ? 10 inch ? i think it`s no problem, but you can measur it ! Here it is explained better than I can ! http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Offset_(wheel) Regards Marcus 1 Citera Länk till kommentar Dela på andra webbplatser
Johan Josefsson Postad 16 Februari , 2013 Rapport Share Postad 16 Februari , 2013 They are 9" wide. I know how to messure but I don't have any original tgb30/40 rim to messure at. Anyone else?
Duke775 Postad 17 Februari , 2013 Rapport Share Postad 17 Februari , 2013 Hi Johan, to know if the 9x22,5 has enough space, you don`t need the original rim. Measured from the outer side of the fender to the surface of the brake drum. This dimension you must convert to your rim... it's very difficult for me to explain it in English what i mean !! I hope you understand Regards Marcus P.S. what size of tires do you want to drive ?
4CON Postad 17 Februari , 2013 Författare Rapport Share Postad 17 Februari , 2013 You are not allowed to change the axle track more than ±15mm. Therefor is it only possible to change the offset with ±7,5mm. That's why I need rims with 92,5-107,5mm offset. The original rim has following measurements: Width 12 inch Diameter 26,5 inch Offset 100 mm Pitch circle 335 mm Stud hole 25,4 mm Center hole 281 mm Citera Länk till kommentar Dela på andra webbplatser
4CON Postad 17 Februari , 2013 Författare Rapport Share Postad 17 Februari , 2013 Hi Marcus, Where did you find your container? It looks good on a TGB 30. I need something like that next year.
Johan Josefsson Postad 17 Februari , 2013 Rapport Share Postad 17 Februari , 2013 Duke775 - I don't have any car to messure at, I only have a few rims laying here. 4CON - Are the inspection hard about the axle track? I think they only care about if the tires are inside the fenders.
4CON Postad 17 Februari , 2013 Författare Rapport Share Postad 17 Februari , 2013 I don't know about the inspection yet. Duke775 Postad 17 Februari , 2013 Rapport Share Postad 17 Februari , 2013 Ah ok, now i understand your problem... In Germany it is no problem to change the track, as long as the tires are covered ! remember that for the same track width the offset 100 mm on a 12 inch rim is about 75 mm offset with a 10 inch and for the 9 inch rim about 62mm offset The truck is not my, its one of the rare TGB in Germany. The Box is from the German Army "Zeppelin FM2" http://www.zeppelin-systeme.de/fmsheltere.htm thats my truck last summer, but still a lot of work ! my container is a radio box from the belgian army Regards Marcus Citera Länk till kommentar Dela på andra webbplatser
4CON Postad 17 Februari , 2013 Författare Rapport Share Postad 17 Februari , 2013 The wheel track is measured between the centerlines of left and right rims. The offset is the distance between the centerline of the wheel and the plane of the hub-mounting surface of the wheel so it should be the same for all widths. Next rule is that the tyre must not be able to touch the car body in any position (that sets the maximum width). Another rule is that the circumference shouldn't be changed more than 5% (I have to check the value, but I'm pretty sure that it's 5%). A 15 foot container should be great... Duke775 Postad 18 Februari , 2013 Rapport Share Postad 18 Februari , 2013 You're right! I have expressed myself wrong. I mean a 12 inch with 100 mm wheel offset is 20 mm further out as a 10 inch with 100 mm offset. If 10 inches is just stand so you need a 75 mm offset. I mean the width from edge to edge of the outside of the wheel.
